The Cote d'Azur (French Riviera) is one of the most stunning destinations in the whole world. It is renowned for the breathtaking views, Mediterranean climate, and all of the wonderful attractions on offer along the coastline and further inland.
During your trip there are a number of sights that simply should not be missed. The first, and perhaps most surprising, is the medieval village of Grasse. The hilly landscape is dominated by fields of lavender, creating colourful, fragrant vistas. The village also holds the honour of being the perfume capital of the world.
Not surprisingly for a coastal setting some of the most beautiful views are of the sea. Eze has plenty, especially from the summit of the village 1,400 feet above sea level. Your reward for braving the steep paths is incredible panoramic views.
Nice also has plenty of great views, combining sea vistas with vibrant and varied architecture. Old Town is particularly beautiful with its narrow streets, wonderful galleries, shops and cafes. You can get great views of it from the top of Castle Hill.

The old world ambiance is incredible and in February the town celebrates its cultural history with the Lemon Festival, adding even more colour.
