‘What a gorgeous holiday! The house was perfect for the nine of us, the view is stunning and the pool is fabulous. We were charmed by Najac, the night market and canoeing were a highlight. We would thoroughly recommend the take away food from the hotel in Najac. Thank you for looking after us so well Henrietta. We hope to come back one day’
Corys, David, family and friends
‘Just had a wonderful week in this spectacular house. Very well organised and Henrietta was extremely helpful and available at all times. The fjord ponies were amazing and the canoeing great fun. The views and the pool were first class. Thank you to everyone’
Lisa, Tom and family
We’ve had a lovely fortnight here in Najac – beautiful gracious house, very interesting area, amazing pool, unbelievable views, lots of food, cocktails at the Bar de la Plage! It was all lovely but the highlights were probably the Night market at Najac, Albi cathedral, Cordes sur Ciel and of course just being here and being so well looked after! Thank you.’
Julia, Victoria and Dom Chapman and the Lort Philips family.
"What a wonderful week in this beautiful village and home. We were here with family and friends and it was the perfect spot for our holiday. The home was incredible and the views are simply breathtaking. We loved cooking up a storm with the local produce and enjoying the wines of France. A true highlight was a special dinner in, with highly recommended chef Michelle. Thank you Najac for this memorable visit. Its so beautiful! We will be back.’
Kendra, Tim, Madeleine and Cole Nagel Canada
‘Our family had a lovely time staying in this picturesque Chateau. We will always remember the long walk to ‘Base de Plein Nature de Najac’ where the kayaking was well worth the trek. The slightly shorter, wholly appreciated walk into the village was also a treat. The Wednesday evening market is great. The pool area became a sanctuary and I’m sure some interesting tan lines will be noticed on our return to rainy England! Thank you for our wonderful visit.’
The Holt family
"We have had a great stay in this beautiful house in the most beautiful area. We’ve swum, played ping pong and cards against humanity! We’ve all been up the fortress tower and kayaked down the raids! Thank you all, Henrietta, Magali and Elodie for the most fantastic stay – such lovely, warm welcome from you all"
David, Kate, Susie Hicks Beach and friends
"We’ve had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful house. The décor is lovely, tasteful and soothing and with so many interesting details. We’ve loved the wonderful views and total privacy. Our children had a fantastic time exploring the gardens and playing in the pool. We’ve been well looked after and leave with fond memories of a lovely holiday."
Daphne, Lalage, Miles, Rowan and Callie W.
"What a magical home! Thank you for sharing it with us for those two very precious weeks. By this time tomorrow my husband and I will be back in Hong Kong, but the wonderful memories will stay with us forever and be much treasured. Huge thanks to all."
Helen and Christopher Darke, Hong Kong
"What a splendid stay! Thanks so much for the delicious food, the delightful company, the
lovely day out and just a great time all round."

Cordes-sur-Ciel: (35 mins/19 miles) is very much like Najac only a much larger version. Much of the village is built in the gothic style of the 13th and 14th Century and today is home to an array of galleries, museums, small shops, little restaurants and cafés. The gothic style church has remains of renaissance style frescos by the painter Gayral. The Jardins du Paradis are well worth a visit and the museum of Chocolate and sugar art of the chocolatier Yves Thuries should definitely not be missed!
Chateau de Saint Projet: This 13th Century Chateau (35mins) is also known as Queen Margots Castle and is well worth visiting. During the religious wars Margot, wife of Henry IV, fled Paris with her two lovers and was welcomed by the lord. When they left her room was bricked up and for over 400 years remained hidden until 1990 when it was discovered with all the furniture & items from the 16thC untouched.
St Antoine de Noble Val: (35 mins/18 miles) is well worth a visit. In the gorge of the Aveyron a pretty medieval cité, really a small town. Reputedly home to the oldest civic building in France. It has a wonderful market on a Sunday morning.
Albi: (1 hr/34 miles) The largest collection in the world of works by Henri Toulouse-Lautrec can be seen in the 13th Century Palais de la Berbi.
Rodez: (1 hr/44 miles) is the principal city of the Aveyron. The beautiful old town centre has medieval origins and fine examples of Renaissance style homes. Small streets lead into pretty squares where you can stop for a coffee or lunch. Much of this area is pedestrianised and has some lovely independent shops, several museums and galleries and many excellent restaurants.
Toulouse: (1hr 145 mins/72 miles). Known as the pink city. Rather than drive you can go by train from the station in Najac. Trains run throughout the day and journey time is 1hr 20mins. Toulouse is the capital of the Occitanie region of France and is home to the largest remaining Romanesque building in Europe, the Basilica of St Sernin, a UNESCO world heritage site. The canal du midi also runs through the city. Famed too for saucisson de Toulouse it of course has a fabulous market.
Tourist Office: in the village in the main square where you can gather information as to what is on each week in the local area.
