La Boupillére
At the end of a long private drive and set in two acres of gardens and grounds La Boupillére is a rare find.
Lovingly restored and refurbished by its owners with great sensitivity and respect to the character of its origins La Boupillére is a most wonderful home to enjoy en famille. It also makes for a superb base to discover the delights of this very distinctive and unspoilt part of rural France.
With marvellous views over the undulating landscape of small farms and vineyards and with distant views of the Pyrénées its no surprise this area is described as Le Petit Tuscan.
The house sleeps up to 10 in 5 bedrooms or withthe addition of La Petite Boupillere 12 in 6 bedrooms.
A charming small barn conversion in the garden 'La Petite Boupillére' provides an additional double bedroom allowing accommodation for a couple with a little independence from the main house. This has a sitting room with wonderful views, a kitchenette and a shower/bathroom.
Testimonials
“Quite simply La Boupillére is a wonderful, comfortable and very flexible home set in a beautiful landscape. We had a perfect month here with a revolving collection of friends and family as well as time for just the two of us. The setting is deeply rural but there’s plenty to experience with walking, cycling, great restaurants (ranging from the local to the Michelin starred) close by along with lots of history centred around the Camino route to Santiago de Compostela and historic Bastides towns and villages. The booking, arrival and stay could not have been easier or better supported by the team at Anglo French Properties plus the local staff. If you're looking for a fantastic base to explore this charming and somewhat off the beaten track area of France, La Boupillére is just perfect."
Mr and Mrs Ian Fisher, London, England 2022
'Nigel and I have nothing but wonderful and positive things to stay about our time spent at La Boupillere this summer.
The owners themselves right from the start were so accommodating and caring in every respect.
The house itself is quite stunning, exquisitely finished but in a homely way to make one feel nothing but comfortable as it it so well equipped for every need.
The pool and pool area are such a great asset and kept in wonderful condition. We spent many happy hours in the undercover outside eating area.
We were lucky enough to have the use of the new little cottage was has been beautifully and tastefully finished with no expense spared.
The area which the property stands is a quiet but beautiful location.
We will never forget our memorable and perfect time we spent at La Boupillére'.
Nigel and Jeannine Lane 2022
"Every other year we bring our children and grandchildren to France for two weeks – so they cant escape! We have done this over 18 years, staying in 9 houses. Without a doubt your wonderful home tops the bill, by far. We have enjoyed a fantastic fortnight in your superbly equipped house, and in particular have enjoyed hilarious family evenings playing Linka etc. Thank you so very much."
Peter Roberts, UK
"As before La Boupillére was absolutely lovely. Highlight was the walk across the sunflower fields to Gazapouy and splendid lunch Chez Hubert – coq au vin plus crème brulee."
Webbs family, Bristol, UK.
"I and my extended family just wanted to thank you for a lovely week at La Boupillére. It was exactly what we all needed; a week relaxing in the most comfortable house we have ever rented and in the most magical location. You have renovated it so well and all of us hope we can return in the future. It was just so beautiful. Thank you so much for accepting our booking and was the centre of a perfect last break before our daughter arrives in late October/early November."
Will Johnson, UK
''Thank you for a wonderful two weeks in this gorgeous house . We've loved the pool, the barn games and the beautiful countryside. We've enjoyed fabulous hospitality at Café Hubert and three generations of family tennis at Gazaupouy. We've eaten, drunk amd laughed so much and its been great to escape to France after lockdown. Bike hire from Gasconny Bike Hore was a great success!''

''Thank you for a truly amazing week. We have fallen in love with your beautiful house. It was the perfect escape from crazy English life. Virus, what virus!?
The views have been spectacular, the red squirrels gorgeous and and thank you for the Floc recommendation. We have taken several bottles home with us!
We really hope to return for a longer stay. There's a lot more exploring to be done''
