Le Mas de Ravanassier
Le Mas de Ravanassier is a stone-built Villa, set in landscaped gardens, with a tennis court and a pool, overlooking the Bay of St Tropez, just 14 kms away. Ravanassier is beautifully light and modern throughout and particularly well equipped for families, including a pool house with its own plasma TV, DVD player and table tennis area.
''We highly recommend Anglo French Properties to anyone who values consummate service, attention to detail and exceeding “the promise” in every way. Le Mas de Ravanassier (near Grimaud) was all Jack said it would be, and more. He managed our multiple lock down changes of plan and date with great tolerance and courtesy and then delivered for us the most wonderful holiday, beautifully briefed and organised, with everything working like clock- work. Thank you Jack and we will definitely be back''.
John and Lucinda Sunnucks, Dorset, England. 2022
'From start to finish, this was the most amazing holiday. Beautifully organised by Jack, it could not have gone more smoothly. So often, brochures overplay holiday destinations, but Le Mas de Ravanassier was heaven and totally lived up to its reputation. The views overlooking the sea from the hills above were fantastic. The facilities were superb, from the tennis court to the swimming pool. Thank you Jack for organising an unforgettable holiday.'
Richard Onslow, Northumberland, England. 2022
We spent a very jolly week at Le Ravanassier with friends at the end of May. It is an idyllic property with wonderful views to the ruined castle at Grimaud and the panorama of the Provençal countryside to the bay of St Tropez beyond. The layout works brilliantly and the pool, tennis court and ping pong table were in constant use. The most used of all however, was the brand new Webber Bbq unit, which was top quality and provided faultlessly delicious food.
The grounds and gardens were well kept by Eric and his lovable hound Iona.
Beautifully situated and convenient for all the local and even more distant attractions, Le Mas de Ravanassier ticks all the boxes to the highest level. We would definitely return and can’t recommend it highly enough.
Charles Fraser, Hampshire, England. 2022
Le Mas de Ravanassier is beautifully situated on the top of the Colle du Turk with a lovely view over Grimaud Castle and out to the Bay of St Tropez. It is a peaceful setting ideal for family and/or friends with good facilities for 10/11 including tennis court, table tennis area and boule pitch plus the splendid deep refreshing pool. I used it in the early 2000's and have just had a memorable swansong visit with the family to celebrate my 80th with happy memories as it was my favourite villa. There is easy access to the auto route to the north and also to the beaches , vineyards and villages nearby . It is also nice to have the delightful Eric living nearby keeping a eye on the place.

''A wonderful villa for a perfect family holiday - with a great swimming pool and tennis court - and a 'boules' court as well. A marvellous hill-top situation with commanding views towards St Tropez. We much appreciated the kindness and helpfulness of the caretakers, Liliane and Michel."
Ann Shaw, Co. Armagh, Northern Ireland.
'We are now safely back to reality. We had a lovely week and the villa lived up to all our expectations and provided for a very happy time for everyone. We appreciated the space inside and outside. We had Madame Dugravot, the cook whom you arranged, for 2 nights which was a wonderful treat. Michael and Liliane were delightful. Our only regret is that we forgot to say so in the visitors book in our haste to leave by 10am. Please pass on our thanks to the owners for sharing with us what is a very special place'.
Tim Gardner, Oxfordshire, England
'We just wanted to say what a wonderful week we had at "Le Mas de Ravanassier".
The house is so perfect and has everything one could want with the pool, tennis court, boules, table tennis, gorgeous terraces and simply outstanding views. We really fell in love with the villa, its position and the area. It's so peaceful.
The rooms are all so comfortable and the kitchen has everything one needs.
Thank you for your recommendations, too. We went to the beach you suggested and had a delicious lunch in its restaurant. We also has a really good meal in Grimaud.
Brigette Baddeley, Kent, England.

Garden & Grounds
This substantial Provençal Villa is secluded from its neighbours and set in four hectares (nearly 10 acres) of garden, olive groves and woods. There are magnificent views in several directions, including Port Grimaud, the Bay of St Tropez and its glittering harbour.
The Villa's dominant position allows for maximum hours of sunshine and provides spectacular sunrises over the Mediterranean and sunsets over the Maure hills. The garden is landscaped with cypresses, cork oaks, palms, mimosas and eucalyptus.
Stone steps lead from the Villa’s main terrace to the heated, filtered swimming pool which measures 10 metres in length and 4.75m in width, with a depth of 2.3m at the deep end and 1.3m at the shallow end and which is accessed via wide, tiled steps. It has an electrically-operated, child-proof cover which should be closed at night to retain the heat and to prevent possible accidents. There is an excellent range of poolside furniture including sun beds and sun umbrellas.
Adjacent to the swimming pool is an air-conditioned pool house, which has been rebuilt and refurbished. It has a shower and a WC, as well as a plasma TV with Freeview, plus a DVD player – an ideal den for children and teenagers! There's also a table tennis table alongside the pool house, a second poolside shower and a charcoal-fired portable barbecue.
Also close to the swimming pool is a ‘boules’ pitch, whilst terraces descend to the tennis court which has been resurfaced to the highest standards, with a practice wall at one end.
Location
Le Mas de Ravanassier stands on the summit of the Colle du Turc in the hills which provide a backdrop to the glittering Côte d’Azur. The villa is set in a private estate and overlooks the medieval village of Grimaud and its castle, about 2.5 kms to the east. Grimaud has adequate shopping and some good -to- excellent restaurants.
Just 7 kms from the villa, Port Grimaud is a modern take on Venice, with pretty houses and restaurants lining canals and squares, and attractive beaches. The glamorous harbour town of St Tropez is 14 kms, with its famous beaches 2 or 3 kms further round the Bay. Traffic into St Tropez in high season can make journeys slow unless setting out in the early-ish morning or the late afternoon/evening. This said, there's a regular ferry service between Port Grimaud, St Tropez and Ste Maxime with crossings taking just 10-15 minutes.
Le Mas de Ravanassier is about ¾ of an hour's drive south of Le Luc on the A8 autoroute, 1½ hours south west of Nice airport and about the same distance north east of Toulon (Hyères) airport. The super-fast train, the TGV, stops both at Fréjus and Cannes which are within easy reach and there are local trains to St Raphaël and Les Arcs. Monte Carlo and the many other resorts and attractions of the Côte d'Azur are also very reachable.
