San Savino

Antagnolla, Perugia, Italy

This four-bedroomed, 14th century property is named after Saint Sabinus, Bishop of Spoleto, to whom the little church, now deconsecrated, was once dedicated. This used to be one of the most important churches of the local area where the farmers congregated for Sunday Holy Mass until the late 1970’s. It is an ancient property, with its terracotta tile floors and original kitchen, and its imposing old stone walls giving a great sense of the buildings’ history and atmosphere.

The renovation has respectfully conserved the old features while creating a luxury holiday home at the heart of the culturally rich Umbrian countryside. Set within an elegant, private and spacious garden, there is a stunning decked terrace which provides a peaceful haven with uninterrupted views across the hills.
